Contri — Delete Your Account

Contri (the expense-splitting app published by Shishir Mane) lets you request deletion of your account and the data associated with it at any time. You do not need the app installed to make the request.

How to delete your account

In the app: open Profile → Delete account and confirm. Deletion is immediate.

Without the app (for example, already uninstalled): email skmanepatil@gmail.com with the subject line “Contri account deletion”, sent from — or mentioning — the Google account email you signed in with. We confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your sign-in link to Google and your Contri profile — name, email address, photo, mobile number, and UPI ID.
• Your push notification tokens.

What is retained

Expenses and settlements you recorded in shared outings are part of the other members' shared records — deleting them would corrupt your friends' balances. These entries are kept, but detached from your deleted profile: after deletion you appear to other members only as a plain name, the same as a friend who never signed up. No other data is retained.
